Flappy birds Back, COD, Minecraft, and more gaming news

Flappy Bird is Back

You all must remember Flappy Bird, one of the fastest-growing mobile games of its time, earning thousands of dollars daily. However, 10 years ago, its creator, Dong Nguyen, shut it down because people were becoming addicted and even harassed him. In a surprising turn of events, the Flappy Bird Foundation, created by some dedicated fans, has acquired the game’s trademark, which expired after 10 years, and they’ve also secured the rights to Poppu, the game Flappy Bird was inspired by. The game is set to make a comeback, first as a web browser game by the end of October, and then on mobile devices by 2025. This new version will include the original game along with new modes, character customization, and even multiplayer features to play with friends.

COD Warzone Mobile New Season

COD Warzone Mobile's Season 6 has arrived, featuring several new updates. A new multiplayer map, Hard Hat, inspired by Modern Warfare 3, has been introduced. Zombie Royal mode has also made a return, where players fight zombies in VDNTS during nighttime. This is a limited-time mode. Along with it, new weapons, events, and bundles have been added. Horror-themed bundles like "The Walking Dead" and "Tricks and Treats" are also included. However, the situation of Warzone Mobile doesn’t seem great. Recently, Xbox laid off 650 employees, many of whom were working on Warzone Mobile.

Minecraft Mob Vote Cancelled

Big changes are coming to the future of Minecraft. Instead of one large summer update, Mojang will now release multiple free updates throughout the year. The size of these updates will vary, and new features will be introduced more frequently. Minecraft Live's format is also changing, with the event now occurring twice a year, and the mob vote has been canceled. A petition was started some time ago with over 500,000 signatures requesting the cancellation of the mob vote, and Mojang has listened. Mob votes were often hijacked, and people were unhappy that some good mobs were not added to the game. Additionally, Mojang announced that they are working on bringing Minecraft to the PS5.

Clash of Clans New Update

The September 2024 update of Clash of Clans has introduced many new features and changes. Clan Leaders can now set custom messages to recruit new members. For those with Town Hall 16 and above, the player can supercharge their maxed-out buildings to give them extra buffs temporarily. There will be a new event for temporary boosts, such as Builder Bite and Sturdy Soup, but they will expire in 24 hours. Hero DPS and health have also been reduced by 5%.

Palworld Officially Coming to Mobile

For a long time, we’ve heard about Palworld's mobile clone, but now it’s confirmed that Pocket Pair has listed a job opening for a technical director to work on Palworld Mobile. This would suggest they are likely working with other developers to bring the game onto mobile. Other players asked whether it would go into some form of live service model. The CEO of Pocket Pair said something like that would certainly extend the life cycle of the game and stabilize revenue streams; however, Palworld wasn't designed as a live service game in origin. The transition to that model would indeed be a lot of challenges, starting with having the game free-to-play and adding scales and battle passes with payments. Transitioning to this model will depend on player feedback. Secondly, the game may also come to PlayStation; it was in the PS games list at the 2024 Tokyo Game Show.

Valorant Mobile TDM Mode and More

Valorant Mobile has been undergoing testing for a while, and its alpha test has now started in China. New agents, maps, and content will be added weekly during this test, and news about the global release might follow soon. A video of Valorant Mobile has surfaced, showing an advanced training mode, which could also be added to the PC and console versions. A new clip system has been introduced, allowing players to feature their best moments through a replay system. These top clips can be viewed by players worldwide on their feeds.

A new Indian horror game, Fears to Fathom, has released its fifth episode titled “Woodbury Getaway.” In this game, you play as Sidney Harper, who plans a weekend getaway with her college friends to Woodbury. The survival of Sidney depends on the decisions you make in this first-person game, which involves exploration, driving, fishing, and conversations. The price for this game is INR 480 on Steam, and the first episode is available for free. It’s already quite popular among horror game enthusiasts.

Mumbai Gullies Studios Got Huge Funding

GameEon Studios, the developers of Mumbai Gullies, have recently secured $1 million in funding. This will help further develop and expand the Mumbai Gullies franchise. The funding will speed up the development process, allowing the early versions of the game to be released sooner. The CEO of the studio mentioned that more updates will be shared as the game gets closer to release.

Spider-Man 2 Port Coming Soon

For some time now, rumors about Spider-Man 2’s PC port have been circulating. After the hacking attack on Insomniac Games, an unfinished PC port of Spider-Man 2 was leaked. This has been going on for eight months, and Sony is now taking legal action against those distributing the unofficial PC port. Many speculate that the PC port may soon be officially announced.

Watch Dogs Movie Good News

After 10 long years, the production of the Watch Dogs movie has finally finished. The movie was first announced in 2013, but after several delays, the shooting is now complete. Directed by Mathieu Turi and written by Cristie LeBlanc, the movie will feature an original story set in the Watch Dogs universe, but it won’t follow the exact storyline of the game. It also stars Markella Kavenagh from The Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power. Though principal photography is still in post-production, without any confirmed release date, the movie will be released within a year or two.
